Easter at St John’s Harborne

 

During the lead up to Easter we have several events for you to get involved in at St John’s Harborne and we would love for you to join us! Keep reading to find out all the details.

 

MAUNDY THURSDAY // 13 APR

HOLY COMMUNION / 10.30
An opportunity to take communion and have a time of reflection about the events of Maundy Thursday. Followed by tea and cake.

 

GOOD FRIDAY // 14 APR

PRAYER WALK / 9.00
*Starting at St John’s Harborne, there will be a prayer walk around the parish prior to the Open Air Service. This will include stopping in key locations to pray for the community.

OPEN AIR SERVICE / 10.30 / HARBORNE HIGH STREET (OUTSIDE BOOTS)
Come and join with other churches in Harborne for a service of witness about the events of Good Friday.

AN HOUR BY THE CROSS / 14.00
Enjoy a time of reflection during the afternoon of Good Friday, by following the journey that Jesus took in the lead up to the cross, through contemplative worship.

FAMILY HOUR BY THE CROSS / 15.30
Time for the whole family to reflect on the events of Good Friday, including a variety of activities suitable for all ages will be available.

 

EASTER SUNDAY // 16 APR

EASTER CELEBRATION / 9.15 & 18.30
Come and join us for our Easter Celebration, as we rejoice together at the good news of the gospel, celebrating Jesus – the Risen King.

HOLY COMMUNION / 11.15
A traditional service Easter service with time for receiving Holy Communion.

 

* Prayer walk details:
9am start at St John’s Church – to St Mary’s Church – to St Peter’s Church- to Harborne Baptist Church – to the old bingo hall – to High Street outside Iceland (finishing by 10:30)
