Ruth has recently joined the staff team at St John’s and is the Pastor of Transforming Discipleship. For the last seven years Ruth has worked for CPAS as a Leadership Development Adviser. Prior to that Ruth had a couple of years with CMS as their National Children’s Work Adviser and before that a whole number of years serving as Youth Pastor at St Thomas’ Church in Lancaster.

Ruth is passionate about seeing people of all ages come to know Christ and to grow in love and knowledge for God, and about helping people to discover and use their gifts to serve God’s kingdom purposes, whatever their age.

In her spare time Ruth loves all things creative, spending time with friends (usually over a good meal!) and enjoys any opportunity to go skiing.
