‘An amazing delivery of Harvest produce’

Food Bank goodsJeremy Thompson sends a massive thank you from the Restore team:

“We’ve just had an amazing delivery of Harvest produce from St John’s Church, Harborne  so we can continue to help out clients in need.

“Many of the people we work with live on just over £36 per week for food, travel (£4 a day in Birmingham by bus!), toiletries, clothing……  But this food will be for those on less than that!  Like the man who will receive a food parcel tonight who has had no income for 5 weeks.  He has been recognised as a refugee (someone who has been persecuted in his home country) but his new benefits have not yet kicked in.

“A huge thank you to everyone who donated food, sorted the food and to John Cheatle who delivered it to our offices in Newtown – you have all made a very practical difference to the lives of people we serve.”

Jeremy Thompson is the Befriending Coordinator at Restore and one of our Mission Partners.
