Women’s Ministry

http://www.dreamstime.com/-image9691981St John’s Women’s Ministry aims to encourage and empower women to flourish in God’s goodness and purpose.

Blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.
They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water…
Jeremiah 17: 7 –8a (NLT)

We arrange occasional events and meetings which offer help, encouragement and friendship to women in the midst of busy lives:

Saturday Breakfasts
These are arranged two to three times a year and are held in the Main Worship Area, starting at 8.45am until 11.00am (arrival from 8.15am). The breakfasts provide an opportunity for women of all ages within St John’s to meet with others, share a delicious breakfast followed by a time of worship, teaching or testimony.

We have a variety of midweek groups and activities and occasional events specifically tailored for the needs of women…

Digging Deeper
Digging Deeper is a daytime Bible Study group (without crèche facilities) for women, meeting fortnightly on Monday afternoons at church.
Members of the group commit to preparing for each session using study books. Leadership of the studies is shared round the group. New members are always welcome!

Three of the daytime groups offer crèche facilities enabling women with young families to have fellowship – crèche availability continues to be an important aspect.
