We arrange occasional events and meetings which offer help, encouragement and friendship to women in the midst of busy lives:
These are arranged two to three times a year and are held in the Main Worship Area, starting at 8.45am until 11.00am (arrival from 8.15am). The breakfasts provide an opportunity for women of all ages within SJ to meet with others, share a delicious breakfast followed by a time of worship, teaching or testimony.
In 2016 the Breakfasts are scheduled for; Saturday 6th February with speaker Hils Grew; Saturday 15th October with Anne Hibbert.
An evening with light refreshments available from 7.15pm, programme commences at 7.45pm, unless otherwise stated, finishing at 9.30pm. An opportunity for time to meet and ‘connect’ with other women for fellowship, teaching, testimony, prayer and refreshment!
In 2016: Connect … with Advent’ is on Friday 9th December with speaker Ems Hancock.
A Women’s Quiet Morning with Catherine Ogle, Dean of Birmingham was held in January; and a Teaching Morning with Kate Wharton, Vicar of St George’s Everton in April.

We have a variety of midweek groups and activities and occasional events specifically tailored for the needs of women…
Digging Deeper is a daytime Bible Study group (without crèche facilities) for women, meeting fortnightly on Monday afternoons at church.
Members of the group commit to preparing for each session using study books. Leadership of the studies is shared round the group. New members are always welcome!

International Women’s Groups

Midway is a group of older women who meet on the second and fourth Thursday of each month during term time from 2:00-3:30 p.m. We meet for Bible study, Fellowship and a cup of tea.
We choose a topic for the term and invite a different speaker for each meeting. You are very welcome to join us in Room 2. The Spring 2015 programme can be viewed here.

There are numerous Talk Together groups which meet weekly in the mornings during term time either at church or in the home. Three offer crèche facilities enabling women with young families to have fellowship – crèche availability continues to be an important aspect. Groups attract women of all ages so being a huge source of blessing for women from all stages / experiences of life.
They provide an oasis in the week offering friendship and encouragement, time to encounter God through worship, Bible study and prayeras well as opportunity for socializing and fun. For further details, please contact Pat Brydon or via The Church Office.
Bible Meditation Groups
The aim of the groups is to know Jesus better and to be enabled to share his love.
Meetings are weekly on Thursday mornings or alternate Fridays in term time. After a brief introduction, time is given to listening to what God is saying through a Bible passage followed by a period of quiet, sharing and praying.
