Worship

Worshipping people

At St John’s, we love to worship God. It’s in our DNA and we have a rich heritage of being a people who delight in coming together to sing God’s praises.

We believe it defines and shapes who we are as God’s people.

We enjoy a strong sense of the presence of the Lord during our services and we love to see His Spirit at work amongst us – revealing who He is and drawing us closer to His heart.

We love to be creative in worship using the creative arts, but we do sing and use music a lot!

We use a variety of songs – reflecting our breadth of ages and backgrounds, we sing some new songs, some traditional hymns and quite a few in-between.

A number of regular worship bands, consisting of singers and instrumentalists, lead at the main Sunday services, plus we have a monthly orchestra and occasional choir.

Our dedicated PA and Visuals team are invaluable in enabling and supporting us as we gather in worship.
