We have three services on a Sunday, usually at 9.15am, 11am, and 6.30pm, except during the Summer Holidays, when we have one morning service (see calendar). There are children’s groups during the first morning service, except on the first Sunday of each month where the children join us for a Children's celebration service. The message delivered is the same during both morning services. Check the diary for more details about each Sunday. If this will be your first visit to St John's Harborne, you can read more about what happens during a service. Sunday Sermons and MessagesOur Sunday sermons are recorded, and you can listen to them again online, by subscribing to our podcast, or by ordering a CD. A hearing loop is available in the main body of the church, but not in the balcony. Once a month, we have a less structured service called ‘Fan the Fire’. This service tends to be more flexible, and involves a bit more worship. There is more time for testimonies where people share from their own stories. It often includes a ministry time, where we take more space and opportunity to respond to what God is doing. Prayer after the serviceAfter the evening services, a team is available to pray with you, about something from the service, for healing of a health problem, or for any other needs. If you would like prayer, and there isn’t a prayer ministry team available, just ask the leader of the service, and they will always find someone to pray with you. If you've got any questions after the service, feel free to ask one of those who have led that night, or one of the welcome team on the door as you leave. Creative WorshipWe also organise more creative reflection times, where the church is open for prayer, perhaps with creative actions to do, video to watch, or words to read. Keep an eye on the church diary for these.
