Worship & Prayer

Worship is one of the key values of St. John's Church. We desire that every time we meet together, we are able to praise and worship our wonderful creator and Saviour - reflecting on who He is, thanking him for all he has done, devoting our lives to him afresh and seeking His presence to inspire and empower us as we live to serve Him and bring Him glory.

These are exciting times for us as a church. With so many activities and events going on, we are a very busy people! So all the more is our need to spend time resting in the presence of God, to know his heart, to be filled with his power, love, compassion and energy for all that we do in his name.

Jesus tells us that the greatest commandment for each one of us is to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength (Mark 12:30). I believe it is from that place that everything else will spring. And that is why we place such a high importance on worshipping God, expressing our love for him with passion and commitment, at every opportunity. "
