Home Groups 2016

In the book of Hebrews, the author exhorts Christ’s followers to ‘not give up meeting together, but to continue meeting to encourage and spur one another on toward love and good deeds.’ (Hebrews 10:24-25).

As a large, growing church, we want to ensure that everyone coming to St John’s has a place to belong, to gather with people around a shared purpose of pursuing God, loving one another and seeking transformation in our own lives and the communities we come from. We believe that it is in the small group context that people grow in community and in Christlikeness, and are equipped to share their faith.

We want to make it as easy as possible to get connected to a group. We hope that much of this will happen organically – home group leaders and members are free to invite people along to their group at any time.

Alternatively you can:

  • Meet with a member of the welcome team at the Welcome Point in the main hall after a service and they will give you information on groups.
  • Browse through the booklet below or click here to download a pdf version and get an idea of how the groups vary and what your preferences might be (please note, some groups may be at capacity, so may not be able to take new members)
  • Email homegroups@stjohns-church.co.uk with your details and our home groups coordinator Debby Bridge will be in touch to help you find the group that is right for you.

We look forward to welcoming you to a group very soon.
