Authentic rocks. Pure and simple. It is our ministry for those aged 14-18’s (school years 10-13).

We want our young people to feel embraced and part of all that is happening at St John’s. To this end, we have created space for them to explore the bible, get to know Jesus, learn to walk with him intimately and live out a real, life-changing & authentic faith every day.

Authentic Revolution

Authentic Revolution (or A:R as absolutely no one is calling it) is the name for when we get together to worship God, read the Bible and hear some cheeky & challenging talks. We also aim to see young people impacted by the Spirit and equipped to live radically at home, school and in the world. With great worship, daft games, chocolate, doughnuts, challenging talks & loads more you’d be mad to miss it! (Sessions @ St John’s 7pm-9pm on 2nd Thursday* of the month).

Cell Groups

Authentic Cell is the name for our small groups, where we get to know each other, build friendships and relationships, study the Bible and ask the questions buzzing round our heads about faith. They usually meet on Thursday nights each week, except during half-term (w/c 21st Feb) & on weeks with Youth Services. Cell Groups Run from 7.30pm to 9pm or as advised by Cell Leaders.

Authentic PCC (Pizza, Chips & Church)

Authentic PCC isn’t what you think, and is for years 9-13. We get together on the 1st Sunday of the month and just have fun. Upstairs in the upper lounge at St johns, from 5pm to 6.30pm. Computer games, pool, chilling out, music & food. Cost = £1. Bargain.

Anything Else?

Authentic also undertake community and social action projects, and have at least one weekend away every year.
