‘Canvas’ – what’s that about?

On Sunday 1st September we shall be launching our brand new All Age Service called ‘Canvas’ at 10.00am.Canvas image for All Age Services

You may be wondering what the name ‘Canvas’ is all about – is it going to be a painting workshop, or will we be camping?! Well, the answer is both – in a way!

As we’ve spent time thinking about how we worship together as people of all ages, two themes have emerged.

We want these times of worship to be something that we create together – each one will be different because of the people that are present – so in one sense we start with a blank canvas.

The other theme that emerged was one of building community together under God’s care – of living under his tabernacle or tent as the Bible often calls it. So canvas seemed to sum up both themes!

Please do join us for our first Canvas service when the theme will be ‘Making all things new’. We look forward to seeing you there!

Canvas continues on First Sundays of the month at 9.15am: 6th October which is Harvest Festival; 3rd November; and 1st December which is Advent.
