‘yfcONE’ Host Homes wanted for Youth for Christ

From September 7th 2013 onwards Youth for Christ will be taking on two (or maybe three) gap year volunteers to support the sports ministry work already going on in the West Midlands.Logo for yfcOne gap year programme

The hope is that the volunteers will be based in / around Stirchley so as to further the Christian work happening on the Pineapple Estate.

Additionally, the volunteers will spend time in other areas of the West Midlands (predominantly in Birmingham) and become embedded into a local church, with the possibility of working alongside that church for  two days per week.

Host homes are required to house these volunteers up until approximately the end of July 2014.

The role of the host home is to provide a safe “at home” environment in which a YFC One volunteer is able to grow and develop holistically in partnership with the YFC One placement and the church family. The money involved ranges from £0 (ie. people house the volunteers for free) to £120 per month (which is not enough to cover costs) so there is a financial sacrifice.

If you would like to be involved or want further information then please contact Steve Bownds:  steve.bownds@yfc.co.uk  or 07803888258″ or go to the yfcONE website
