About Robin Oake MBE, QPM
Robin was born in Surrey and educated at Reigate Grammar School and University
College, London. He is married to Christine and they had three children, Stephen, Sue and Judi.

He had a life-long career in the police force in various capacities: as a Metropolitan Police Chief Inspector; at Bramshill International Police College, as a Staff Director; in Greater Manchester as Superintendent to Assistant Chief Constable; and finally in the Isle of Man as Chief Constable.
He specialised in Terrorism and Public Order.

Currently he serves as the Bailiff of Egle—The Order of St John.

Robin has written two books: With God on the Streets; and Father Forgive, written following the death of his son Stephen while serving as a policeman in Manchester.
