‘The Splendour of the King’

Marcus reports on the Carol Services from a Worship Pastor’s perspective:

“A  huge thanks to all who worked so hard to make our carol services this year a great success. The choir sang beautifully, the orchestra played gracefully and, bringing them together along with the worship band, ‘The Splendour of the King’ was a truly wonderful, extravagant offering to the God who has demonstrated his love for us without measure.

“Also a great big thank you to all who worked so hard behind the scenes on PA, visuals, etc ensuring all ran smoothly.

“We have had some lovely comments from both members of the church and visitors.

“May you know His peace without measure this Christmas.”

We attended the 7.30 service on Sunday and really enjoyed and were blessed by the great music – both the singing and the orchestra – our guest joined in lustily! I was thrilled by the message by James Lawrence as he shared the gospel, giving glory to God for His love and grace.

So thanks to Marcus, Jack (spelling?-sorry if I got it wrong), singers and musicians, and everyone who gave their time to practise and perform on the night. There were loads of visitors present and huge smiles all round at the end.
Also, Many thanks to everyone in the office, the Communications team and the staff for doing such a great job throughout the year. I believe the Lord smiles upon us at St. John’s and waits expectantly to see what we will do in 2013. Well done everyone!
