The Christmas Tour

Update from Alex on 6th December:

“Ticket sales are sluggish as usual but lots of people are “thinking about it”! Spaces are still available at 11, 11.30, 12, 2, and 2.30. People are welcome to book with me or just turn up and join the next tour!”

Contact Alex direct or book via The Church Office.

Saturday 8th December at St John’s – 30 minute tours through the day starting at 10am.

The Christmas Tour Five features a whole new script this year, written as usual by Jeremy Thompson.

Jeremy writes: “The Christmas Tour Five:   For the past decade, hundreds of school children, church members and friends have been guided through the Christmas story first by a Wiseman, then by Joseph, followed by the Archangel Gabriel and most recently by Mary.   This year we’ve another brand new script, crafted just for St John’s.

“Who will be our tour guide this year to take us to Bethlehem fields, the stable and Herod’s palace?  Could it be Mr Don Key?  Sorry no spoilers!  You’ll have to book tickets to discover who your Christmas Tour guide is in 2012 and then time travel back to the first Christmas.”

The Christmas Tour Five is a nativity play with a difference and is suitable for all the family – a journey through time to discover the Christmas Story.  Tickets are available for church members and those in the community to purchase. Please book this date and invite your friends.

All enquires to Alex Robertson or contact The Church Office or telephone 0121 427 4601.

For St John’s members:  Help is needed on 5th December to set up the church and on the evening of 8th December to put everything back in time for services on Sunday.

The Christmas Tour takes also takes place at St John’s on 6th and 7th December.  During the day on 6th and 7th The Christmas Tour welcomes children from local schools.  On Thursday evening 6th the tour is put on for members of the Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers and their families and friends.  This year groups are coming from surrounding guiding units as well as our own units from St John’s.
