PAUSE

Friday 7 June 12noon-9pm and Saturday 8 June 9am-5pm

This year, as part of the prayer initiative ‘Thy Kingdom Come’, we are going to run an event that is just as much for those outside the church as it is for those within.

We need volunteers to welcome, serve coffee, pray, keep techy things working, etc. If you can give an hour or two of your time, CLICK HERE to sign up.

With an intentionally evangelistic and welcoming flavour, PAUSE will provide a space to reflect, process, pray and leave prayer requests. The worship area will be set up with different creative prayer zones, there will be tea, coffee and cake available in the hall, all supported by an offer of individual prayer and chat if people want it.

The theme is ‘family’ – inviting an honest reflection on what’s good as well as what’s difficult in each person’s own situation.  Everyone’s family situation is different. Maybe supporting elderly parents or small children.  Maybe a different family situation to the one you’d ideally choose. Maybe you’ve got lots to celebrate or much to mourn. Maybe there’s broken relationships.  Whatever your situation God knows and cares, and longs to walk it with you.  PAUSE offers a welcoming, easy place to take stock and pray into hurts, dreams, excitements, disappointments and longings that you carry.

We’ll be building on contacts we’ve made in previous years in the local community. And our challenge to everyone at St John’s is to think of at least one person you know to invite to come with you to PAUSE.

If you’d like to get involved in any way please do get in touch with Marcus at marcuspagnam@stjohnsharborne.org or Kathy at desandkathycole@gmx.co.uk
