Thy Kingdom Come

Thursday 30 May – Sunday 9 June 2019

Thy Kingdom Come is an exciting global call to prayer led by Archbishop Justin Welby that has been running for the last few years.

In previous years we have met to pray together in a variety of ways, including prayer walking around the Parish and visiting local businesses to bless them.

It draws together Christians from all over the world to pray for people they know to come into a personal relationship with Christ.

Here at St John’s we shall be participating in the following ways:

How to get involved

Pray for 5

Would you commit to praying for 5 people to know Christ for themselves. Family, friends, colleagues – who might God put on your heart? You may find it helpful to wear a wristband to remind you to pray, or to carry a card with you. Or maybe you’ll buy a TKC mug so that when you stop for a 5 minute cuppa, you’ll be reminded to pray for your 5 people.

During TKC the Prayer Room will be available as a place to pray 09.00 – 16.00 weekdays with wristbands, cards and mugs available for purchase.

Power House

Wednesday 5 June 20.00 – 21.30 we shall meet together for our monthly prayer meeting with a special Thy Kingdom Focus including prayer walking into Harborne from 19.00 – more details to follow.

Prayer Walking/Leafleting

In the days of TKC we are going to prayer walk and leaflet drop in preparation for PAUSE. To get involved please contact Marcus.

Friday 7 – Saturday 8 June special prayer event that is designed for those outside the Church community as well those inside – more details here.

Whatever you do, make sure you get involved. Remember and give thanks for the person who helped you find Jesus. And pray that you would do the same for someone else.

Contact Marcus at for more info.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed by thy Name.

Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
