Harborne Prayer Matters (Week of Prayer)

Monday 21 January to Saturday 26 January

During the week of Prayer for Christian Unity the churches in Harborne will take it in turns to host a prayer event each evening. There will also be events during the day.

Monday 21 January – Oasis Church, South Street B17 0DB
10.00 – 16.00 & 19.30 – 21.00 – All are welcome to come along and spend time in contemplative prayer aided by Prayer Stations for public services, salvation and social action.

Tuesday 22 January – Harborne Baptist Church, Harborne Park Road B17 0DE
12.00 – 14.00 – Prayer Stations, everyone welcome.
19.30 – 21.00 – All are welcome as we spend time in prayer for Older People and International Students

Wednesday 23 January – St Faith & St Laurence Church, Balden Road B32 2EL
8.15 – 16.00 & 19.30 – 20.30 – All are welcome to join together for a time of Northumbrian Prayer for Inclusion

Thursday 24 January – St Peter’s Church, Old Church Road B17 0BB
12.00 – 16.30 Post It Prayers
19.30 – 20.30 – All are welcome for a time of prayers for health and leisure

Friday 25 January – St Peter’s Church
09.00 – Morning Prayer

St Mary’s Church, Vivian Road B17 0DN
19.30 – 20.30 – All are welcome as we spend time praying about ‘what can Harborne do for the world?’ and prayer for environmental issues.

Saturday 26 January – St John’s Church, High Street B17 9PT
15.00 -16.00 – Everyone is welcome at our All Age Prayer Event. Prayer for Children, Young People, local Schools and Businesses
16.00 – 17.00 – Let’s join together for a bring & share Unity Tea.
17.00 – 18.00 – We shall bring the week of prayer to a close with a Service of Thanksgiving.

Monday to Friday these churches will be open for personal prayer and reflection:
St Mary’s 7am to 4pm | Morning Prayer 8am
St Faith & St Laurence 8.15am to 4pm | Morning Prayer 8.15am
St John’s Prayer Room 9am to 4pm
