Harvest

Sunday 7 October at St John’s

For many years St John’s has had an amazingly generous response to requests for food items. This year our food gifts will be divided between three organisations namely:

Restore a project of Birmingham Churches Together, aims to welcome, include and assist integration of refugees and those seeking sanctuary from persecution. Restore works to achieve this through: befriending; social activities; equipping refugees for work; and advocacy and awareness-raising. www.restore-uk.org

The Bridge a non-profit organisation bringing hope to men and women recovering from drug and alcohol addictions. They run three supported accommodation houses in Birmingham, providing support in recovery, right through to re-engaging with employment and establishing independent living. Jon Smith, Manager of The Bridge, will be speaking at all three of our gatherings on Sunday 4 November. www.thebridge.uk.net
