Prayer For Church Members (1st March)

People in our fellowship who are ill but not mentioned by name in the list below.

Ian and Lorna Uden
Please pray for Ian and Lorna following a very difficult week. Pray for Lorna who is mourning her mother who died last week. Lorna is also suffering from very painful blocked tear ducts. Ian has severely scalded his foot, pray for complete and quick healing.

Pathfinder Weekend Away
Please pray for the Pathfinder youth group who were due to have their weekend away this weekend, unfortunately it has been cancelled. Please pray that the time they spend in church this Saturday will still be a fulfilling time and that the spirit will move. Pray also for the leaders as they make new plans.

Sue Clegg
Please pray for the Lord’s peace over Sue Clegg following an appointment last Monday. She has a follow-up appointment on Friday 23rd February. Pray for wisdom for the doctors and peace for Sue.

Sarah Ball
Sarah is thankful for lots of help recently, allowing her to recuperate slowly from a recent long virus. She is still having ongoing ME issues, so would really appreciate continued prayer for healing.

Marcus Pagnam
Please pray for Marcus who is on extended leave for four weeks, pray that he will hear the Lord’s voice over him during this time and return refreshed and revitalised.

Joyce Storer
Joyce has undergone some tests due to a health difficulty.  Please pray for a return to better health as she takes some new medication.

Christiane Neumann
Christiane would value prayer for recovery of energy and increased mobility, and that she might have no recurrence or spread of the cancer.  She is very thankful for all the prayer support.

John Vale (Grandfather of Michelle Bishop)
Michelle is thankful for your prayers for her Grandfather. He has moved back home and now has carers coming in to help him. She asks that you continue to pray. Please also hold his family in your prayers.

Monica Finnemore
Please pray for Monica in her on-going struggle with constant pain in her legs and back. She has also had a few days in hospital because of a blood clot.

June Fluck
June moved on Thursday 11th January to Bryony House Care Home for a trial period. Pray that this will be a positive move and that June will be happy there.

Sam Parker
Please pray for Sam Parker who is experiencing some neurological symptoms. Please pray for a) a speedy diagnosis (he had an MRI on 20th January); b) for his symptoms to improve/disappear; c) that this will have minimal impact on his internship at Vinelife Church in Manchester.

Beryl Beavis
Beryl writes: ‘Thank you for your prayers. The pain is almost gone. Please continue to pray for complete healing of the nerves and muscles.’

Elizabeth Brown (mother of Helen Van Vliet)
Helen writes: “My Mum is still making a fantastic recovery, and we want to praise God for this. Please continue to pray for good sleep, increased energy levels and a full mental and physical recovery.”

The Moore Family
Please continue to pray for the Moore family and especially Sarah.

Jean Evans (friend of Rosemary Kennedy)
Rosemary writes: “Jean’s consultant says there is a substantial positive response to the treatment and her treatment is now complete. Jean thanks St John’s for their prayers that have changed a terminal diagnosis. Please continue to pray for her recovery and further scan results.”

Lesley Osborn
Lesley Osborn is on renal dialysis. Lesley sends her thanks for your prayers which are much appreciated.

Asher Sinclair (2 years)
Pray for Asher, his parents David and Helen, his sister Erin, and his grandparents Will and Jo Drever. Asher has been at Great Ormond Street Hospital, is now home, but continues to need treatment.


Older members of our congregation especially for people with dementia and those who care for them.

Pray for the Older Members of our community attending ‘The Faith Course’ throughout February and March.

Pray for Catriona and her team as they run monthly services at The Kenrick Centre and for all the residents attending these events.

Carers in our church family who are looking after those who are ill or in need of on-going care.

Housebound members of our fellowship, and those in nursing homes.

Those who can no longer attend church for a variety of reasons.

PCC members as they serve the church in 2017-2018.

St John’s Buildings Project Steering Group as they meet fortnightly to discuss, plan and pray about our future building project.

Ben Baker, Sean Clancy and Mark Roper as they train for ordained ministry.
