Parenting For Faith

Equipping parents to raise God-connected children and teens.

What is Parenting for Faith?

Parenting for Faith is a series of seven sessions designed to help parents discover that they are perfectly positioned to show their children the reality of life with God and to empower them to have their own vibrant two-way relationship with Him.

Here at St John’s we have a heart for supporting parents and carers – in fact all those who are positioned to influence children and young people! We would love you to join us for on our Parenting for Faith course, where we can meet to explore ideas and support each other on the journey of discipling the children in our church family. The course is written by Rachel Turner of Bible Reading Fellowship (BRF).

Some of the topics covered over the sessions are:

  • Positioned for Influence
  • Making Sense of Life
  • Unwinding Wrong Views
  • Conversational Prayer
  • Prayer Ministry for Children
  • Helping Children Connect with Church

The course is aimed at anyone who wants to support a child or youth (of any age) in their spiritual development be that: parents, carers, grandparents, godparents, aunts, uncles, St John’s Children’s Team and St John’s Youth Team!

When does the Parenting for Faith Course start?

  • Monday 19 March, meeting weekly for eight weeks (excluding Easter Holidays and May Bank Holiday)
  • 8pm – 9.30pm
  • St John’s Church, Upper Room
