What’s On? Spring 2018

Our desire is that through this series we would be encouraged to look at the whole of our lives as being committed to God, and to be challenged to set some new goals in seeking more faithfully to live life to the full.

We all like to hear good news – it encourages us and helps us keep a positive perspective on things. So, what if there was news that was so good that literally, it changed everything? In this series we will be delving into the book of Romans, where the Apostle Paul sets out this Good News – God’s Good News – which for the last 2 millennia has been turning the world upside down.

Each Sunday we will have different speakers in the morning and the evening to bring their own emphases on the same passage.

To accompany this series we have produced small group study material which links in with (but is not identical to) the sermon titles. If you aren’t already in one, do think about joining one of our small groups, to get even more from this portion of Scripture. Click here for more information about our small groups.

We usually celebrate Communion: at our 9.15am gathering on the 2nd Sunday of the month; at the 11.15am gathering on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month; and on the 4th
Sunday of the month at our 6.30pm gathering.

Full details of the gatherings over the Easter period will be published nearer the time.

At our 6.30pm gathering on Sunday 20th May, we will be giving the opportunity for members of the St John’s community to be baptised.  If you have not been baptised before and would like to profess your faith publicly by being baptised by full immersion please speak to a member of the St John’s staff team.
