People in our fellowship who are ill but not mentioned by name in the list below.

Family of Chris Hawkins
Please pray for the family of Chris Hawkins, son of late Barbara Hawkins who died on 17 December 2017 at City Hospital.  There will be a Cremation at Lodge Hill on 19th Jan at 12.00noon followed by a service of Thanksgiving at St Germain’s Church, City Road, Edgbaston at 1.00pm

Family of Irene Tonks
Irene sadly passed away on Thursday 4th January.  Irene attended Midweek Communion, Prime Time and Midway.  Pray for her family at this sad time.  There will be a service of Thanksgiving at St John’s on Wednesday 24th January at 2pm and a Cremation at Lodge Hill at 3pm.

Monica Finnemore
Please pray for Monica in her on-going struggle with constant pain in her legs and back.  She has also had a few days in hospital because of a blood clot.

June Fluck
June moved on Thursday 11th to Bryony House Care Home for a trial period.  Pray that this will be a positive move and that June will be happy there.

Sam Parker
Please pray for Sam Parker who is experiencing some neurological symptoms. Please pray for a) a speedy diagnosis (he has an MRI on 20th January); b) for his symptoms to improve/disappear; c) that this will have minimal impact on his internship at Vinelife Church in Manchester.

Beryl Beavis
Beryl writes: ‘Thank you for your prayers. The pain is almost gone. Please continue to pray for complete healing of the nerves and muscles.’

Brian Thomas
Good news! The biopsies showed no cancerous cells. However, Brian does have ulcers in the gullet. The medication he is taking will deal with the problem but Brian and Karen would still value prayer for complete healing.  Thank you for your love and support.

Sid Ball (father of Sarah Ball)
Please pray for Sid Ball who is still having ongoing problems following an operation in November. He is seeing a specialist at the end of month, pray that this will provide resolution to some of the issues. Sarah would also appreciate continued prayer for healing as she struggles with ME.

John Vale (grandfather of Michelle Bishop)
Michelle asks for prayer for her grandfather who was admitted into hospital with difficulty breathing and possible heart problems. Pray that he will be diagnosed and treated quickly and please also hold his family in your prayers.

Christiane Neumann
Christiane Neumann is grateful for on-going prayer as she continues to experience extreme tiredness and has post radiation dermatitis. Pray that she will continue to know the Lord giving her His joy through these challenging times.

The Moore Family
Please continue to pray for the Moore family and especially Sarah.

Elizabeth Brown (mother of Helen Van Vliet)
Helen writes: “My Mum is still making a fantastic recovery, and we want to praise God for this. Please continue to pray for good sleep, increased energy levels and a full mental and physical recovery.”

Jean Evans (friend of Rosemary Kennedy)
Rosemary writes: “Jean’s consultant says there is a substantial positive response to the treatment and her treatment is now complete. Jean thanks St John’s for their prayers that have changed a terminal diagnosis. Please continue to pray for her recovery and further scan results.”

Lesley Osborn
Lesley Osborn is on renal dialysis. Lesley sends her thanks for your prayers which are much appreciated.

Asher Sinclair (1 year)
Pray for Asher and for his medical team as they try to work out the best way to stop his heart from arresting. Pray for his parents David and Helen, his sister Erin, and his grandparents Will and Jo Drever. Asher is at Great Ormond Street Hospital.


Older members of our congregation especially for people with dementia and those who care for them.

Pray for the Older Members of our community attending ‘The Faith Course’ throughout February and March.

Pray for Catriona and her team as they run monthly services at the The Kenrick Centre and for all the residents attending these events.

Carers in our church family who are looking after those who are ill or in need of on-going care.

Housebound members of our fellowship, and those in nursing homes.

Those who can no longer attend church for a variety of reasons.

PCC members as they serve the church in 2017-2018.

St John’s Buildings Project Steering Group as they meet fortnightly to discuss, plan and pray about our future building project.

Ben Baker, Sean Clancy and Mark Roper as they train for ordained ministry.
