Gift Day November 2017

Financial Review
David Harvey our Treasurer writes:

Thank you to all those who support the Church financially and welcome to those who have started to give for the first time. Your gifts plus the tax refund from Gift Aid represents over 93% of our Church’s income so a huge thank you to you all.

If you have not yet had time to review your giving or have not yet completed a pledge form it is never too late.  Please complete and return any pledges over the next two Sundays. Even if you are not planning to make a change please pray over your pledge form and return it to us. All pledges can be placed in the collection baskets at any Sunday service. If you need a new pledge form they can be found in the Giving Packs which are available on the welcome desk in the Main Hall.

The Outcome of the Appeal:

Thank you for your generosity. The response so far is:

2017 – An increase in income for the year of £42,000 which includes some large one off gifts.

Although it is too early to have precise figures, through the receipt of additional giving and several one off gifts, I expect us to be close to breaking even for 2017. Your generosity has cleared a forecast deficit.

2018 – An increase in forecast income for the year of £67,000.

The position for 2018 is that we currently have a planned deficit of circa £70,000. In the short term this can be covered from cash reserves and the PCC have signed off the budget for next year. However we need to move to a position where our income covers our costs. As we consider the vision for the next 5 years which is about growing our ministry we need to grow our income to match the plans that we are making under God’s direction.

Our vision is to be a church which has faithfully lived out our desire to ‘have a heart for God, for our city, and for the nations’

We can only do that with your continued support.
