People in our fellowship who are ill but not mentioned by name in the list below.

Cadbury Pastorate
Please pray for the Cadbury Pastorate following the sudden death of their new minister, Rev David Littlejohns. Please pray for God’s presence and comfort, especially for David’s wife and his family at this sad time.

The Moore Family
Peter and Lesley Moore would like to thank everyone for their prayers following their recent bereavement. Pete’s Mum’s funeral took place on Wednesday 6th September. Please continue to pray for them and Pete’s wider family as they come to terms with their loss. Continued prayer for their daughter, Sarah, would also be welcome as she is still very fragile and lacking in energy following on from her recent stay in the QE.

Jackie Eldred
Please pray for Jackie following the recent death of her sister last Thursday (August 31st). Please keep Jackie and the extended family in your prayers at this sad time, and that they may experience God’s presence at comfort during this period.

Katharine Spellman
Please pray for Katharine following the sudden death of her husband, Dave Spellman. Please pray for the friends and family of Dave, to experience God’s peace and comfort at this sad time. There will be a service at the crematorium, (for family only), followed by a funeral service for Dave which will take place on Friday 8 September at 12 noon at St John’s Harborne.

Sid Ball (father of Sarah Ball)
Please pray for Sid who is shortly due to have an operation. Pray for the doctors and nurses caring for him, and for a speedy recovery following the procedure. Also, Sarah has experienced some answers to prayer regarding her energy levels, which recently have been better than normal, but she would appreciate continued prayer for healing as she struggles with ME.

Tim Walker (son Rev Tom Walker) and family
Please pray for Tim, Charis and the family at this sad time as Molly Ann (Tim and Charis’ Mum) passed away on Saturday 29th July. There will be a simple service of celebration on Friday 25th August at Surrey & Sussex Crematorium.

June Fluck
Please pray for June who is currently recovering from surgery in hospital, following a fall.

Carolyn Billingham
Carolyn, Bob and Carolyn’s Mum would like to thank everyone who have been so supportive and prayerful in recent weeks. The funeral for Ken Wright (Carolyn’s Father) was ‘a good send off’ but continued prayer for facing the future would be greatly appreciated.

Jean Evans (friend of Rosemary Kennedy)
Rosemary writes: “Please continue to pray for my Christian friend Jean Evans in Cardiff who is struggling with the effects of Chemotherapy treatment after a terminal diagnosis. She is currently on antibiotics for an infection but the chemotherapy is going ahead. Her blood count just made it! She would welcome prayer that the white blood cell count does not fall further.”

Laurie Deimel and family
Please pray for Laurie Deimel, whose Dad (Richard Deimel), died suddenly. Please pray that the family know God’s peace at this sad time.

Mrs Eileen Fowler (mother of Charles Fowler)
Give thanks that Eileen has now returned to her home at Lench’s Trust following her recovery from a broken hip. Do continue to pray for the family as there are some complications that need to be worked through.

Christiane Neumann
Christiane values our ongoing prayer as she works towards being fitter and healthier following her cancer treatment. Pray too that there will be no spread of the cancer.

Pete Robinson (friend of Trudi Brass)
Please pray for Pete who is suffering from a recurrent episode of bipolar disorder. Please pray for a speedy recovery for him and support for his wife and young daughter at this difficult time. Please pray for his medical team as they try to relocate him to be nearer to his family in Birmingham, he is currently being cared for in Manchester.

Elizabeth Brown (mother of Helen Van Vliet)
Helen writes: “Thank you to everyone who has been praying for my Mum, Elizabeth. She has made a miraculous recovery and is now at home. She can walk with a stick, and is working towards a complete recovery. Please continue to pray for perseverance and courage as she works at rebuilding her strength, and that she would be able to sleep well, and join with us in praising God for His clear hand in all of this.”

Parents of Andrea Mason
Andrea asks for prayer for both of her parents, both of whom are in their 80’s.  Please pray especially for Andrea’s Mum as she is her Father’s main carer.  Please continue to pray that they can access the right services that they need during this difficult time.

Lesley Osborn
Lesley Osborn on renal dialysis. Lesley sends her thanks for your prayers which are much appreciated.

Asher Sinclair (1 year)
Pray for Asher for his medical team as they try to work out the best way to stop his heart from arresting. Pray for his parents David and Helen, his sister Erin, and his grandparents Will and Jo Drever. Asher is at Great Ormond Street Hospital.


Older members of our congregation especially for people with dementia and those who care for them.

Carers in our church family who are looking after those who are ill or in need of on-going care.

Housebound members of our fellowship, and those in nursing homes.

Those who can no longer attend church for a variety of reasons.

PCC members as they serve the church in 2017-2018.

St John’s Buildings Project Steering Group as they meet fortnightly to discuss, plan and pray about our future building project.

Ben Baker, Sean Clancy and Mark Roper as they train for ordained ministry.
