Building for Mission

St John’s Harborne is entering a new phase of it’s journey, as we look towards our upcoming building project. Over the coming months, there will be more events and gatherings to attend that are all part of this new venture we are calling ‘Building for Mission’. For us the physical development of our building is just a small part of God’s bigger purpose for us, in going out in mission, hence the name ‘Building for Mission’. Read about our Autumn term events below.

Dave Richards’ Visit
Sun 17 Sept / 9.15, 11.15 & 18.30 / St John’s Harborne
Dave Richards, Rector of St P’s & G’s in Edinburgh will be visiting St John’s in September to speak on ‘Building for Mission’, as we prepare to respond to what God is calling us to do in and through our church building.

Half Night of Prayer
Wed 4 Oct / 18.00 – Midnight / St John’s Harborne
In the Autumn term join us as we gather together for an evening of passionate prayer and worship focussing on three key areas – ‘Building for Mission’, ‘Youth and Children’ and ‘Birmingham’.

24-7 Week of Prayer
Fri 12 – Fri 19 Jan / St John’s Harborne
In January we will be engaging in a week of non-stop prayer. As we look forward towards our building project, we want to cover this venture, as well as our mission to see our community transformed, in prayer. Join us for a week of listening to God, as we trust in Him for His leading and provision.
