The Marriage Course starts 28th September

What is the Marriage Course?

The Marriage Course is a series of seven sessions, designed to help couples invest in their relationship and build a strong marriage. Although The Marriage Course is based on Christian principles, it is suitable for any married couple, of any faith, at any age or stage of their marriage and is designed to help build a stronger relationship that lasts a lifetime.

There is no group discussion, so each couples privacy is completely respected. Some of the topics covered over the sessions are:

  • Understanding each other’s needs
  • Communicating more effectively
  • Growing closer by learning methods to resolve conflict
  • Recover from the ways you may have hurt each other
  • Recognise how your upbringing affects your relationship
  • Improve relationships with parents and in-laws
  • Develop greater sexual intimacy
  • Discover each other’s ‘love language’

When does the Marriage Course start?

  • Thursday 28th September, meeting weekly for seven weeks (excluding 26th October)
  • 7.30pm – 10pm
  • Dave and Kay’s House (The Marriage Course hosts) based in Harborne
  • £65 per couple which includes seven meals and a workbook

If the cost is an issue for you then please get in touch as we would not want this to stop anyone undertaking the course. Some financial support is available.

Testimonies

From people who have participated in the course elsewhere:

“We nearly didn’t come… this year has been extremely hard… we came to a brick wall and didn’t know how to get through it. It has totally changed things around. We are going to get our marriage blessed next and have a fresh start.”

“It was a fantastic atmosphere. Although we were amongst all these people I felt we were on a tropical island just the two of us. It was a great feeling just to spend time together.”
