People in our fellowship who are ill but not mentioned by name in the list below.

Pam Sutton
Please pray for the family and friends of Pam who died on Friday 2nd June. A Thanksgiving Service for Pam was held at St John’s on Wednesday 21st June.

Lawrence Lee
Lawrence and Suoya Lee (who belong to the 9.15am congregation) are giving thanks that all the prayers have been answered.  Lawrence’s brain implant operation to control Parkinson’s disease has been very successful and it has given him and the family a new lease of life.  He is able to take on new challenges in both leisure and further study.  He is also very grateful to God and the church for the prayers about his father’s death and felt God’s hand and timing in all that experience.

Margaret Ball (mother of Sarah Ball)
Sarah thanks us for our prayers for Margaret who sadly passed away on Saturday 3rd June. Sarah also gives thanks that the family are at peace knowing that Margaret is now with the Lord. Please continue to pray for Sarah and her family.

Christiane Neumann
Christiane had a good time in Germany and is slowly getting her strength back and feeling a little less tired.  She awaits a scan to find out whether there is evidence of the cancer spreading and appreciates our continuing prayers.

Les Hyett
Norah writes: “Les died peacefully on Tuesday 16th May with members of his family around him.” A Thanksgiving Service for Les was held at St John’s on Friday 9th June. Please pray for Norah and her extended family at this time.

Elizabeth Brown (mother of Helen Van Vliet)
Helen writes: “Thank you to everyone who has been praying for my Mum, Elizabeth. She has made a miraculous recovery and is now at home. She can walk with a stick, and is working towards a complete recovery. Please continue to pray for perseverance and courage as she works at rebuilding her strength, and that she would be able to sleep well, and join with us in praising God for His clear hand in all of this.”

Jean Evans (friend of Rosemary Kennedy)
Please pray for Jean Evans following her diagnosis of  secondary terminal cancer with possibly just 3 months of life left.  Rosemary writes: “Jean came through her first Chemo very well but the treatment will be more intense on Thursday.  Please pray for minimal side effects and that je4an will keep looking to the Lord in these circumstances and be at peace. Jean and I  would like to thank St Johns for their prayers.”

Mrs Eileen Fowler (mother of Charles Fowler)
Give thanks for Eileen’s recent successful surgery for a broken hip. Do continue to pray for Eileen, as she recovers from her operation in Moseley Hall hospital.

Sid Ball (father of Sarah Ball)
Please continue to pray for Sid following recent concerns with his care provision at home as safeguarding is now being implemented.  Give thanks for improving health for Sid. Please also pray for Sarah for energy and for healing as she struggles with ME.

Sue Clegg
Sue would appreciate our ongoing prayers as she is still unable to see clearly.  Sue writes: “Although frustrating, we believe it`s a matter of time and continued healing process following the operation.”

Parents of Andrea Mason
Andrea asks for prayer for both of her parents, both of whom are in their 80’s.  Please pray especially for Andrea’s Mum as she is her Father’s main carer.  Please continue to pray that they can access the right services that they need during this difficult time.

Lesley Osborn
Lesley Osborn on renal dialysis. Lesley sends her thanks for your prayers which are much appreciated.

Asher Sinclair (1 year)
Pray for Asher for his medical team as they try to work out the best way to stop his heart from arresting. Pray for his parents David and Helen, his sister Erin, and his grandparents Will and Jo Drever. Asher is at Great Ormond Street Hospital.


Older members of our congregation especially for people with dementia and those who care for them.

Carers in our church family who are looking after those who are ill or in need of on-going care.

Housebound members of our fellowship, and those in nursing homes.

Those who can no longer attend church for a variety of reasons.

PCC members as they serve the church in 2017-2018.

St John’s Buildings Project Steering Group as they meet fortnightly to discuss, plan and pray about our future building project.

Ben Baker, Sean Clancy and Mark Roper as they train for ordained ministry.
