People in our fellowship who are ill but not mentioned by name in the list below.

Christiane Neumann
Christiane had a good time in Germany and is slowly getting her strength back and feeling a little less tired.  She awaits a scan to find out whether there is evidence of the cancer spreading and appreciates our continuing prayers.

Les Hyett
Norah writes: “Les died peacefully on Tuesday 16th May with members of his family around him.” There will be a Thanksgiving Service for Les at 3pm on Friday 9th June at St John’s followed by refreshments. Please pray for Norah and her extended family at this time.

Elizabeth Brown (mother of Helen Van Vliet)
Helen writes: “Thank you to everyone who’s been praying for my Mum after her sub arachnoid haemorrhage. After a rocky three weeks in ITU she has woken up, and is starting to recover function in the left side of her body. She has a long way to go, but is very determined. We’d value prayer for her ongoing recovery, that she would have no further set-backs, and that she would regain her independence.”

Lawrence Lee
Thanksgiving that Lawrence and Suoya Lee and their boys are now back from Malaysia after the sudden death of Lawrence’s father. Please continue to pray for the family in their bereavement, particularly for Lawrence’s mother. Please uphold Lawrence in his continued adjustment to the procedure for control of his Parkinson’s disease.

Jean Evans (friend of Rosemary Kennedy)
Please pray for Jean Evans who has just been diagnosed with secondary terminal cancer with possibly just 3 months of life left.  She has a church but lives alone with effectively no family. Please pray for her and for Rosemary as she visits her in Cardiff.

Mrs Eileen Fowler (mother of Charles Fowler)
Please give thanks for Eileen’s recent successful surgery for a broken hip. Do continue to pray for Eileen, as she recovers from her operation in hospital. Pray for Charles and his wife Lesley as they support her at this time.

Joan Benham
Please pray for Joan, she lives in a Care Home and is struggling with health issues.

Sid and Margaret Ball (parents of Sarah Ball)
Please continue to pray for Sid following recent concerns with his care provision at home as safeguarding is now being implemented.  Give thanks for improving health for Sid.  Give thanks that Margaret has started to respond following an increase in her medication.  Please also pray for Sarah for energy and for healing as she struggles with ME.

Sue Clegg
Sue writes: “Give thanks for a successful operation and steady recovery since, the Consultant says that further treatment is in abeyance. Thank you for all your prayers, messages and practical support received. Dark glasses will remain for a time – but summer is coming!”

Caroline Harvey
Please pray for Caroline as she embarks on a short term mission trip to the USA and Cambodia. Caroline writes “I am away Friday 7th April – Friday 9th June with Patricia King and XP Ministries, doing an internship for a month in Phoenix, Arizona and then in Cambodia for a month, helping to rescue victims of sex trafficking. I would appreciate prayer for a supernatural ability to cope, strength, energy & good sleep and safety & protection.”

Parents of Andrea Mason
Please pray for Andrea’s father who has had to stop taking his dementia medication due to a very rare side effect.  Andrea asks for prayer for both of her parents, both of whom are in their 80’s.  Please continue to pray that they can access the right services that they need during this difficult time.

Lesley Osborn
Lesley Osborn on renal dialysis. Lesley sends her thanks for your prayers which are much appreciated.

Asher Sinclair (1 year)
Pray for Asher for his medical team as they try to work out the best way to stop his heart from arresting. Pray for his parents David and Helen, his sister Erin, and his grandparents Will and Jo Drever. Asher is at Great Ormond Street Hospital.


Older members of our congregation especially for people with dementia and those who care for them.

Carers in our church family who are looking after those who are ill or in need of on-going care.

Housebound members of our fellowship, and those in nursing homes.

Those who can no longer attend church for a variety of reasons.

PCC members as they serve the church in 2017-2018.

St John’s Buildings Project Steering Group as they meet fortnightly to discuss, plan and pray about our future building project.

Ben Baker, Sean Clancy and Mark Roper as they train for ordained ministry.
