In a former life Pat was British Director of European Christian Mission, a church planting organisation in East and West Europe. She led a team helping to raise awareness of Europe as a mission field, processing candidates, providing pastoral care to missionaries and developing contacts with churches and supporters in the UK. In 2001 Pat married Antony Spencer and became a vicar’s wife and step-mum to 3 grown up sons and a 14 year old daughter. The family has grown to include 3 daughters-in-law and 7 grandchildren. Antony and Pat were part of a Team of 12 churches in Suffolk before moving to St John’s, Harborne in 2007. Having stepped down from leadership roles Pat now supports Antony and the family, and enjoys standing alongside others in a mentoring and prayer capacity.
