People in our fellowship who are ill but not mentioned by name in the list below.

Sue Clegg
Pray for Sue as she undergoes an operation, for all the logistics involved and for speedy healing.

Christine Slough
Christine (aunt of Jane and Katie Butcher) passed away on Thursday 2nd March.  Jane writes: “Your prayers were much appreciated.”

Alison Norden 
Pray for the family and friends of Alison. Brian Norden writes: “Alison died peacefully in hospital on 18th February. Brian, Sally, Judith and Emma truly appreciate all your prayers in the last few days and the love expressed to us.”  There will be a Thanksgiving Service for Alison at 2pm on Wednesday 15th March at St John’s followed by refreshments.

Karen (work colleague of Brennan Horne)
Please pray for Karen who has been diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. Give thanks that despite some complications her operation went well.  Please continue to pray for Karen’s good recovery as she hopes to return to work in April.

Sid and Margaret Ball (parents of Sarah Ball)
The GP is looking into reasons for Margaret’s recent extra health problems however, she seems content in herself at the nursing home. Sid’s care provision at home is inconsistent so the family are seeking advice regarding what is acceptable or not. Your continued prayers are much appreciated.

Gertie Hughes
Please pray for the family and friends of Gertie who died peacefully in the Q.E. Hospital on Saturday 11th February. Her funeral was on Thursday 9th March.

Les Hyett
Norah Hyett writes: “After leaving the QE Hospital on Tuesday 14th February, Les was transferred to Selly Wood Nursing Home. There he is being well cared for by nurses and settling down to the new routine. Please pray that he will be content and cooperative.”

Family and friends of Caroline Gilmour-White
Please pray for the family and friends of Caroline who died of Motor Neurone Disease on Tuesday 7th February.  Her funeral was at St John’s on Thursday 23rd February.

Christiane Neumann
Please continue to pray for Christiane. She has now completed her radiotherapy treatment and is very slowly regaining her strength while continuing with three weekly infusions.  She values our continued prayer support.

Lawrence Lee
Thank you for your prayers for Lawrence Lee. He had a deep brain stimulation procedure to treat disabling symptoms of Parkinson’s disease and improve his mobility. He is still in hospital in London. He has had some psychotic symptoms which we are asked to pray against.  But his family are being reassured that he is making progress and he seems to be himself.  Please pray too for Suoya his wife and two little boys at home in Birmingham.

Parents of Andrea Mason
Andrea’s father was seen by the Consultant recently and has been prescribed medication for dementia.  Andrea asks for prayer for both of her parents, both of whom are in their 80’s.  Please continue to pray that they can access the right services that they need during this difficult time.

Enid Jordan
“Enid would love to thank all those who have been praying for her before and since her recent eye operation. She is very grateful for everyone’s prayers, and grateful to be a part of such a church community as St. John’s.”

Thelma Jones
Please pray for Thelma who is struggling with infections.

Lesley Osborn
“I have now started renal dialysis. Please pray for us as we adjust to this massive change in our lives. Hopefully I will feel a real benefit from my treatment. I am very grateful for the support and prayers of so many. Please keep praying.”

June Fluck
Pray for June Fluck, coping with a number of situations regarding her health at present.

Asher Sinclair (1 year)
Pray for Asher for his medical team as they try to work out the best way to stop his heart from arresting. Pray for his parents David and Helen, his sister Erin, and his grandparents Will and Jo Drever. Asher is at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Vinod Diwakar
Pray for Vinod for continued good recovery and a successful outcome following surgery.


Older members of our congregation especially for people with dementia and those who care for them.

Carers in our church family who are looking after those who are ill or in need of on-going care.

Housebound members of our fellowship, and those in nursing homes.

Those who can no longer attend church for a variety of reasons.

PCC members as they serve the church in 2016-2017.

Ben Baker, Sean Clancy and Mark Roper as they train for ordained ministry.
