Prayer for Church Members (19th January 2017)

PRAYER IS REQUESTED FOR

People in our fellowship who are ill but not mentioned by name in the list below.

Enid Jordan
Please pray for Enid, for peace of mind as she awaits an eye operation on February 3rd. Pray for a successful outcome with no complications.

Lesley Osborn
“I have now started renal dialysis. Please pray for us as we adjust to this massive change in our lives. Hopefully I will feel a real benefit from my treatment. I am very grateful for the support and prayers of so many. Please keep praying.”

Parents of Andrea Mason
Please pray for Andrea’s father particularly whose recent MRI scan has shown reduced blood supply to parts of his brain. Andrea asks for prayer for both of her parents at this difficult time, both of whom are in their 80’s. Please pray for the right support for them in their continual day to day routines.

Ansley Stenning
Ansley’s father sadly died at 1am on 22nd December. It was a quick and peaceful end with Ansley present. Please pray for the family at this difficult time. The funeral was on the 16th January at Lodge Hill at 1:30pm.

Christine Slough
Close relative (67yrs) of Jane & Katie Butcher who has been diagnosed with advanced cancer. Please pray for peace for her and her daughter Sam as they come to terms with the prognosis. Also for Shirley Butcher (her sister and Jane’s mother) as she struggles with this alongside her own Altzheimers.

Christiane Neumann
Christiane is thankful that no further surgery is needed.  After a break in Germany for Christmas and New Year she will begin some radiotherapy treatment.  Pray for her to regain energy and strength, so that she can cope with the flights and enjoy this time away with family and friends.

Karen (work colleague of Brennan Horne)
Please pray for Karen who has recently been diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. She is due to have an operation after Christmas, although there are no dates at present.

June Fluck
Pray for June Fluck, coping with a number of situations regarding her health at present.

Val Nield
Valerie would like you to know that the outcome of the Coroner’s Inquest on her late husband, Keith, was Accidental Death. There are to be further meetings to discuss a possible adverse reaction to a prescription drug which Keith had been taking during the last few weeks of his life. Valerie thanks you most sincerely for your prayers, cards and messages which have given her great comfort at this very difficult time.

Les Hyett
Norah Hyett writes: “In view of various health problems Les is now in Castlecroft Residential Care Home in Weoley Castle.  Please pray that he will settle down and find peace and contentment.”

Caroline Gilmour-White
Please continue to pray for Caroline, now back in the nursing home after a recent spell in hospital.

Asher Sinclair (eleven months)
Pray for Asher for his medical team as they try to work out the best way to stop his heart from arresting. Pray for his parents David and Helen, his sister Erin, and his grandparents Will and Jo Drever. Asher is at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Chris (work colleague of Tilly Orleans-Thompson)
Please pray for Chris who has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. She has just started chemotherapy and is struggling to look after her two small children (aged 1 and 3 years) and herself.  Pray also for her husband that he would be able to cope with all the demands on him at this time.

Sid and Margaret Ball (parents of Sarah Ball)
Sarah gives thanks that following a long spell in hospital, Sid is coping amazingly well back in his own home. Please continue to pray for him to receive appropriate care for his ongoing health conditions. Please also continue to pray for Margaret who remains in a care home. Pray for appropriate care and improvement in her condition.

Vinod Diwakar
Pray for Vinod for good recovery and a successful outcome following recent surgery.

PLEASE ALSO PRAY FOR

Older members of our congregation especially for people with dementia and those who care for them.

Carers in our church family who are looking after those who are ill or in need of on-going care.

Housebound members of our fellowship, and those in nursing homes.

Those who can no longer attend church for a variety of reasons.

PCC members as they serve the church in 2016-2017.

Diana Hopkins our new Children’s Pastor as she settles into her new role.

Ben Baker, Sean Clancy and Mark Roper as they train for ordained ministry.
