Prayer prompts as we enter the Christmas Season

Thursday 1st December – Saturday 3rd December
Christmas Tour Please pray for: the impact of the Tour on pupils and staff on the schools days and on guests who come on Saturday, that they would experience the good news of Christmas; Linda Phillips (director) and all the cast as they work together and for good health for the whole team; all those involved in welcoming and providing music, craft activities and refreshments on the schools days and those welcoming and serving refreshments on Saturday 3 December.

Thursday 1st December
Cameo
Pray for the international ladies as they meet to share in fellowship and friendship and as they study the bible together.

Debt Advice Pray for members of the debt team as they meet with people in need of advice about their finances this evening.

Friday 2nd December
Friday Night Club Pray for the all the young people and leaders. Pray for fun and safety in all their activities and for God to be present in the ‘Half Time Talk’.

Saturday 3rd December
Healing on the Streets Pray for our teams out on the High Street in Harborne. Pray for good meetings and prayer times with people who ask for prayer.

Sunday 4th December
Sunday Services Pray for our services today, that God would richly bless our church as we seek to worship and serve Him. Pray for the Canvas team and Catriona Foster as they lead and speak at our morning services.  Pray for Alison Earey as she speaks at our 6.30pm service.
Authentic Plus Pray for ‘Authentic Plus’ as they meet for bible study and worship at 11am.
Christmas Choir Rehearsal Pray for all those singing in the Christmas Choir, as they continue with their preparations for the Carol Service.
Welcome Pray for a warm welcome for all those who come along for the first time or who are visitors.

Monday 5th – Tuesday 6th December
Toddler Group
Pray for a warm welcome to all parents, grandparents, carers and children. Pray for a fun time for all who come; and for the leaders and helpers involved in this welcome ministry offered to people in our community.

Monday 5th December
Start the Month Pray for those in the business community, professions and market place.

Over 70s Drop In Pray for all those who call in at The Crossway this morning for help, friendship and refreshments.  Pray that all will find a welcome.

Guiding Groups Pray for the Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers as they meet in their groups. Pray for a good time of fun and friendship.  Pray for the Rainbows as they perform their Christmas Production to their parents.  Pray for the Brownies as they join Catriona and her team at Timber Mill Court to perform a nativity with carols.

Tuesday 6th December
Benefits Advice Pray for all those attending the Benefits Advice session this morning.

Debt Advice Pray for members of the debt team as they meet with people in need of advice about their finances this morning.

The Healing Prayer Centre Pray for all those who come for prayer at The Crossway and for wisdom for the team.

Alpha Pray for all the guests attending Alpha this week as they ponder the question of ‘What about the church?’.  Please pray for the Alpha team, worship leaders and chefs this evening!

Authentic Revolution Pray for all the young people as they meet together at church this evening.  Pray for strengthening of friendships, a warm welcome to any newcomers and the presence of the Holy Spirit as they worship together.

Wednesday 7th December
Sanctuary  Pray for all those attending our monthly time of worship and prayer.

Home Groups Pray for all those from St John’s who go along to home groups for prayer, fellowship, bible study and friendship. Pray for more members of St John’s to commit to a home group.

Students at St John’s Pray for the students as they meet this evening. Pray for friendship and fellowship as they share a meal, worship and listen to a talk. Pray for new students to feel a warm welcome.

Thursday 8th December
Karis Christmas Party Please pray for safety and protection for the guests to and from the building and cars – many have mobility problems; and pray for the drivers as they cope with transport to and from the city on a busy Thursday afternoon.

Cameo Pray for the international ladies as they meet to share fellowship and make Christmas Cards.

Midway Pray for all the ladies as they celebrate together with a shared Christmas Meal.

Debt Advice Pray for members of the debt team as they meet with people in need of advice about their finances this evening.

Guiding Groups Pray for the Rainbows, Brownies and Guides as they meet in their groups. Pray for a good time of fun and friendship.

Friday 9th December 
Talk Together Pray for the Talk Together groups meeting at various times and locations throughout the week.

Friday Night Club Pray for the all the young people and leaders. Pray for fun and safety in all their activities and for God to be present in the ‘Half Time Talk’.

Women’s Connect Evening with Ems Hancock Pray for Ems as she speaks to the women of St John’s and their guests this evening.

Saturday 10th December
PCC Away Day Pray for our PCC for unity, inspiration and guidance as they spend the day together.

Who Let The Dads Out? Pray for Tim as he leads this group and for all who come along. Pray for the growing sense of community and a relaxing fun time for all.

Sunday 11th December
2nd Sunday of Advent
Pray for our services today, that God would richly bless our church as we seek to worship and serve Him. Pray for Will Donaldson, Director of
Pastoral Care St Aldate’s, Oxford as he speaks at our morning services and for our ‘Open’ evening service.
Children’s Groups at 9.15am. Pray for all our children and leaders as they gather to worship and learn about Jesus and his love for them.
Authentic Plus Pray for our youth as they meet for bible study and worship at 11am.
Christmas Choir Rehearsal Pray for all those singing in the Christmas Choir, as they continue with their preparations for the Carol Service.
Welcome Pray for a warm welcome for all those who come along for the first time or who are visitors and for all those attending the Welcome Tea this afternoon.
Youth PCC Pray for the youth and leaders as they meet before the evening service this afternoon and enjoy ‘Pizza, Chat and Church’…
