Calling all musicians – young and old

As usual, we are planning on having an orchestra at our Christingle services this year, on Christmas Eve at 3.00pm and 4.30pm.

In past years, this orchestra has been great fun, as well a good opportunity for those less experienced to ‘have a go’.

We just ask that players are at least grade 1.

To get involved or for any more info please contact Marcus Pagnam or Martin Horder.

Christmas Choir

The Christmas Choir needs you – all abilities welcome – reading music helpful but not essential. We sing from four part arrangements.

We shall be singing the usual selection of carols as well as two performance pieces at the main carol service at 6.30pm on Sunday 18th December.

Choir rehearsals: Sunday 4th December 4.00-6.00pm

Sunday 11th December 4.00-6.00pm

Sunday 18th December 4.30-6pm, followed by the carol service at 6.30pm

The music and parts will be available from mid-November for you to learn prior to the rehearsals. Please contact Marcus Pagnam or Katherine Kirkbride to get involved.

Carol Service Orchestra

Our regular St John’s Orchestra will be playing at the Carol Service at 6.30pm on Sunday 18th December.

If you would like to enquire about joining the orchestra please do contact Marcus Pagnam or Martin Horder. We are always looking for new members. Previous orchestral experience preferred.
