Fun, Friends and a Fridge Box!

Toddlers has begun again in earnest after a summer of toddling to the park.

We have welcomed many new parents and carers and their children over the past couple of weeks, several of whom have expressed an interest in coming to church on Sundays. We have also welcomed back many of our regular families, some of whom have shared news of new babies who will arrive in the Spring. So our numbers keep growing!

fridge-boxWe are enjoying several new toys including new farm animals for our farm, a new Happyland bus, complete with passengers, and several new dressing up outfits including super hero capes, ball gowns and several pairs of ‘clip clop’ shoes! We also have a Mr Tumble waistcoat and bag in memory of our little friend Fergus who passed away in the summer.

The most exciting toy of all, however, resulted from the delivery of a new fridge for the church kitchen. It arrived on a Monday morning and before Toddlers had even opened for the day’s session the fridge box had been transformed, courtesy of Charlotte, into a wonderful space ship!

Faith Chat has started again. We are running a Parenting Course this term which is proving to be fun and really valuable to all involved. We tackle ‘Battles and Boundaries’ next week!

The Toddler Team remain an amazing and dedicated team of people and I am really grateful to all of them for making Toddlers the warm and secure place that it is. Our prayer is that through being part of our Toddler group our families will “grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge (for themselves) that they may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:17-19

Kate DiwakarIf you would like to be part of this ministry, to our Toddler community, or can help with the Faith Chat creche on Wednesday mornings, please do email me. These are exciting times!
