Celebrating Youth Ministry: local

celebrating-youth-ministry-local-2016Calling all youthwork volunteers!

‘Celebrating Youth Ministry: local’ evenings are a special opportunity for us to thank and equip all volunteers who work with young people across the Church of England, Birmingham.

There will be food to eat (chips, kebab, chicken, rice & peas), inspirational youthwork experts to meet, workshops on ‘Managing Challenging Behaviour’, ‘Growing your faith while volunteering’ and ‘Supporting young leaders’ to choose from and people to pray with you, answer any questions and support you in your local youth work.

There will also be a special moment of thanks from Bishop David and Liz Dumain – and an announcement about a new opportunity for young people across the diocese. We invite all current and potential youthworkers to come to either of the two evenings (they will be the same): bring questions, enjoy hospitality, and meet other volunteers and youth specialists.

We are holding these evenings free of charge to thank all of our wonderful volunteers who give so much time and energy to support and encourage young people across the Diocese and look forward to seeing lots of you there.

The evenings will start from 6.15pm if you are able to join us for food and a chat. We will then start officially at 7pm and finish at approximately 9pm. Please come and go as suits you, we want to make this easy for you to be able to attend. You do need to book though! Here’s how…
