The Christmas Tour – what is it and how can you help?

Christmas Tour 2016The Christmas Tour is an amazing opportunity for St John’s to share the real story of Christmas with hundreds of people.  It’s a drama performance where we travel back to the first Christmas.

The audience don’t sit and watch, instead they walk through the scenes of the story and meet all the characters.  Each performance lasts 30 minutes.

On Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd December around 400 children from local primary schools come to see the Christmas Tour. Then on Saturday 3rd December the performances are open for anyone to book tickets.

How can you help?

Please pray …

for enough actors, for preparations and rehearsals, that local schools will respond positively to the invitations and for the impact – that many people would encounter the good news of Christmas.

Please consider acting

On each of the three days we need a cast of 13 people.  We are very grateful to those who have signed up already, but we still need more actors.

So if you willing to act and want to be part of this great ministry to children and families and are available on any or all of the performance days – please contact Linda Phillips on

The first time the cast will come together for a script read through and team building session is on Sunday 9th October at 2pm.  The rehearsals will then be on Saturday 5th November and Sundays 13th, 20th and 27th November all from 2pm.

Please invite

The Christmas Tour is a great event to invite family and friends to, so please think about who you can invite.  Details of how to buy tickets for performances on Saturday 3rd December will be available later.
