The Quinton and Oldbury Food Bank is run from Christ Church Quinton and St Boniface Churches. It is open two mornings a week: Wednesday mornings at St Boniface and Friday mornings at Paul & Barney’s Place (an outreach centre from Christ Church Quinton).

The food bank is part of the Trussell Trust Food Banks and has to meet all their standards and regulations

Local Organisers

There are two local organisers who run each base and arrange volunteer rotas, ensure adequate stock levels and other day-to-day tasks, for example Carol Dealey from St John’s looks after the base at St Boniface.

New Co-ordinator needed

We need someone who would take on the over-arching role of co-ordinator and be the link with the Trussell Trust. All necessary training would be provided and on-going support would be available if needed.

Carol DealeyIf you feel this volunteer role could be for you please speak to Carol Dealey on 0121 4265674 or email her on dealey@blueyonder.co.uk

To find out more about helping at the Quinton and Oldbury Food Bank, Carol writes about her experiences
