People in our fellowship who are ill but not mentioned by name in the list below.

Rezi Kardellemaj (one of our Living Stones Mission Partners)
Please pray for Rezi as she travels “…to Kurdistan, from 12th-26th June, to work alongside our local partners in Erbil and Dahouk and to explore how we can better support them. There are two million Syrian refugees and internally displaced people fleeing the horrors of ISIS. We will be distributing food, medical supplies, and sanitation packs, as well as seeking to encourage the people there.”

Tom Walker (vicar of St John’s from 1970-1991)
Tom Walker passed away on Thursday 26th May at home in Sussex. Please pray for his widow Molly, his daughter Charis and her husband Paul, his son Tim and his wife Antonia and their families.

Brian Martin
Brian has emailed to say: “Thank you so much for praying for me and for the many warm wishes, gifts and cards I have received. Also, I was touched to receive some lovely flowers on behalf of St John’s. Answers to prayer were very evident, not least in that a potentially very serious problem was identified and skilfully rectified by the Professor of Surgery at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. After 12 days as a guest of the NHS, I am now convalescing at home for the next few months. I look forward to seeing many of you over the coming weeks.”

Bernie Barber (sister-in-law of Ginny Cornish)
Ginny has emailed to say: “Bernie died yesterday, Wed 1st June late evening, peacefully, surrounded by her family. We give thanks for the peaceful passing and the help of many friends and family who so faithfully cared for her. We pray for Jim, Tom and Ben in their loss, and also Bernie’s family, the Finnegans.”

Margaret remains in a nursing home. Please continue to pray for good communication between the various doctors and the family. Sid is still in hospital but the staff are hoping to start a phased discharge. Please pray for all the medical staff and carers involved in this process and that all Sid’s needs would be met.

Valerie Nield
Please pray for Valerie and her family following Keith’s sudden death on the 21st April. A thanksgiving and funeral service for Keith was held on 11th May.

Fred Collin (former member of St John’s)
Give thanks for many answered prayers following a major heart attack. Fred has been discharged from hospital and is recovering at home.

Des Cole
Des has given us an update on 5th May. The course of radiotherapy for the prostate cancer which started in March has now been completed. He praises God that the side effects were better than feared, and quite manageable. During the next few months Des will undergo monitoring for the bowel cancer and the prostate cancer which had been diagnosed. Pray that the various tests will reveal that the chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments have been effective in removing the cancer cells. Pray for good outcomes for Des following many months of illness.
