People in our fellowship who are ill but not mentioned by name in the list below.

Valerie Nield
Please pray for Valerie and her family following Keith’s sudden death today, 21st April.

Barry Blakemore
Pray for Barry who is poorly. Please pray for Yvonne and for their children Simon, Faith and Miriam.

Sid and Margaret Ball (parents of Sarah Ball)
Please continue to pray for Sarah Ball’s mother and father.  Sarah thanks us for upholding her family in our prayers.  She has asked us to pray for good communication between the various doctors, for wisdom and a clear answer regarding Margaret’s adrenal function and medication. This is a long term situation.  Margaret is currently settled in a nursing home. Sid is in hospital and showing some improvement but there are unresolved physical concerns.  Pray for the doctors treating him.

Hazel Thompson (Jeremy Thompson’s Mother)
Hazel had a knee replacement operation on 15th April and is now home from hospital.  She is making good progress but there is a way to go yet. Please pray for her recovery and increased mobility.

Hazel Herbert
Please pray for Hazel who developed pneumonia following a chest infection.  Pray for her continued recovery, which could take several weeks.

Iris Andrews
Please pray for the family and friends of Iris Andrews following her funeral on 13th April. Iris attended the 11am service and Midweek Holy Communion as well as Prime Time.

Les Hyett
Update from Norah on 6th April. “Les is now home after two weeks in the QEH.  He is settling back into life at home and receiving frequent visits from nurses and carers.”  Please continue to pray for Les.

Tom Walker (former vicar of St John’s)
Tom has recently been diagnosed with cancer.  Please pray for him and his wife Molly, and all his family at this difficult time.

Lesley Osborn
Lesley is home from hospital following recent valve replacement surgery. Lesley writes: “I am getting on well with the new heart valve and gradually increasing my strength and what I can do. I am still at risk of my kidneys failing more permanently, but I am very grateful that they rallied after an episode of acute renal failure some while ago, and then the heart surgery. Thanks to everyone for their ongoing prayers”.

Bernie Barber (sister-in-law of Ginny Cornish)
Please pray for Bernie who is very poorly with late stage ovarian cancer.  Please pray for all her family at this difficult time.

Des Cole
Des gives praise that having finished chemotherapy for bowel cancer in January he has been signed me off any more treatment. Also, that the job that he started in November has been going well.   Des started a course of radiotherapy for the prostate cancer on 3rd March, which is taking place every working day for seven and a half weeks. Pray that he does not suffer the worst side effects, and the treatment will be effective in removing the cancer cells.
