An email from Hikmat to Steve on 7th April:
It is great to hear from you, and congratulations for the appointment of your new vicar. We pray for a smooth transition. We pray he has and is able to quickly embrace the beautiful culture of St John’s, that I have experienced and learnt from, when I was still a student at Birmingham University
It is great to know about the appeal. It is much needed especially because the humanitarian need is increasing. There is a greater need for assessment, administration and management of the programs.
Timescale is – ‘the sooner the better’…
