Announcement from RCB…

Rana Murr Nasr has now been appointed as their Humanitarian Aid Coordinator

We believe Rana is the best person to lead this ministry. Last year we asked her to embark on a specific construction project and she did an outstanding job. Rana will start work on the 1st May in this new role” writes Lily Malky, Communications, RCB.

St John’s Church has committed to develop our partnership with Resurrection Church Beirut (RCB) to support what God is doing through their work with the Syrian Refugees in Lebanon.

Flier page 2Future Partnership …

We anticipate that as this partnership develops there will be various opportunities to be involved directly by using our skills and experience. This could include providing short term medical help or leadership training.

Immediate Partnership …

At this stage of the partnership there are three ways in which we can support RCB:

Prayer – regular information and updates for prayer will be available via the Weekly Roundup email. (Signup at www.stjohns-church.co.uk/signup)

Humanitarian Aid Coordinator – Having identified the need we have commited to fund a Humanitarian Aid Coordinator to be employed by RCB. The approximate cost is £15,000 per year. Exampleif 125 families or individuals from St John’s commit to give £10 per month this would cover the cost.

Would you be willing to contribute to this fund?

Welfare Support – life for the refugees is desperately hard. RCB supplies vouchers for families. Currently a voucher for $70 (£49) buys basic food for a family for 2 weeks. $15 (£11) will pay for formula milk for a baby.

Would you be willing to contribute to this direct need?

How to respond …
