Dear All,

Wonderful one-off opportunities to serve and be a blessing to others in two different ways this festive time of year, as we open our doors to many in our community for whom it will be their first experience with us at St John’s – may they receive both a warm welcome and share in the hospitality we offer.

The Christmas Tour – Saturday 3 December

People required to welcome The Christmas Tour has been running for many years and attracts so many adults and children from our local schools, via The Crossway and our community

It is a wonderful opportunity to open up the church in such a creative way, inviting and welcoming many through our doors to take a 30 minute journey to experience the true meaning of Christmas! If anyone is willing to give an hour or so, (one hour time slots commencing 9.45 – 12.45 and after lunch 1.45 – 4.15pm), it would be wonderful for our guests to be offered a warm welcome as they enter St John’s, perhaps for the first time via the main entrance door (High Street) and then guided towards Alex Robertson who will be in the Main Hall to receive them as she coordinates the group tours.

Please sign up at the Welcome Point by this Sunday 27th November,or contact Pat Brydon by Wednesday 30th November.

Christingle Services – Saturday 24 December

Refreshment teams required Great opportunity to offer hospitality to those in our local community following the 2.30pm and 4pm service. At this festive time hope to serve warm berry juice with mince pies / squash and cookies. We are looking for two teams of four/five people – if you can help as a small group or wish to participate as individuals, please sign up at the Welcome Point or contact Pat Brydon.

With much appreciation, Every blessing,

Pat Brydon
