Church family, at its best, is one where everyone is included; all ages and all stages!

Kate WhartonKate reminds us that Jesus comes to bring life to the full, whatever our marital status. ”When we are sold out for God,” she says, “then life will be the very best that it can be – whether married or single, with children or without – because we will be on our way to becoming who we were created to be.” This is a subject which is relevant for us all whatever our age, gender or status.

Kate is the Vicar of St. George’s Church in Everton, Liverpool a beautiful Grade 1 listed building in the process of getting a new roof so won’t need so many buckets! Kate’s favourite way to spend a day off is to have a lie in, then go for a long walk with friends, sitting in a cosy pub with a pint of real ale. Kate enjoys swimming and playing badminton, and watching football. Kate is an ambassador for Compassion as well as being a regular speaker at New Wine and author of ‘Single-Minded’ has had great reviews and been described as;

‘Perceptive, open and startlingly honest’ (Elaine Storkey)
‘Great clarity and insight’ (Gavin Calver)
‘Honesty, humour and humanity’ (The Right Reverend James Jones)
‘Funny and positive – a great deal of wisdom for both single and married’ (Graham Tomlin)
