15:00 – 16:00 Good Friday 25 March

Please use the car park entrance and meet us in the Main Hall

Following the popularity and success of last year, we will again on Good Friday be holding an ‘alternative hour at the cross’ for children and their families to participate in marking the events of Holy Week and Easter.

Whilst being fun and interactive, there will be space to reflect upon the reason for the season and the story of Jesus’ death and resurrection in an accessible way. Like last year there will be various craft activities and refreshments, but this year will also involve space for families to journey through the story together, through various activity stations throughout the church to create, play and reflect.

To quote myself from last year:

“We can’t have Easter Sunday without Jesus suffering on the cross on Good Friday! It can be easy to gloss over when we are telling the story with children as it isn’t easy or nice to hear. Nevertheless, marking Good Friday in some way gives us a great chance to tell the whole story of Easter.”

I hope you’ll be able to join us, as we as a church of all ages seek to celebrate Easter and mark Good Friday in a meaningful way.
