Prayer on a leafBen explains the reason behind including a special hour for children and families:

“This hour that will specifically help children and families to pray.

“Don’t feel that it will be an hour of trying to silence your wriggling child – it will be full of various activities and space for children of younger ages to engage in prayer on their level.

Child's love picture“When we did a similar event last year, it was a really valuable time for those that came.

We would encourage you to join us, helping the youngest to be able to participate with the rest of the church, praying for the world, our church and those in need.

“This special hour will be happening from 4-5pm at church on Saturday 12th March and we hope to see you there.”

Prayer by diceFollowing a similar event last year, Darren Richards writes:

It’s Saturday. It’s too cold for the park. The kids are going stir crazy with cabin fever. What do you do? Last year, we ventured out to the kid’s hour at church, as part of the 24 hours of prayer, and we were so glad that we did. Every aspect was creative, clever, fun and kid-friendly. It’s no mean feat finding games and activities that can hold 2&1/2 year olds interest and have them wide-eyed, giggling and asking about God and Bible stories. Please do mark this in your diary, it’s totally worth the ‘coat and shoes palaver’, wrestling with the car seat and searching for that car space… just to see them pray and learn and smile.
