‘We prayed for you’

Week of prayerReflection on St John’s Week of Prayer 2016 – from Beryl Beavis

Yes YOU were prayed for

From the tiniest babe to those a 100 and more

For the children’s groups and those who are ‘Guides’

Yes, we prayed for YOU

For Youth, and students and those more ‘mature’

In small groups, or larger, or not one at all

Yes, we prayed for YOU

For those who had much and those who had little

Those who gave much and some only a little

Yes, we prayed for YOU

Those who were happy and those who were sad

those who were house bound and those adventurous ‘lads’

Yes, we prayed for YOU

Those who work here and those who work there

Those who are paid and those volunteers

Yes, we prayed for YOU

The men and the women with breakfasts galore

And for the future and what is in store

Yes, we prayed for YOU

For those who come often, or sometimes,or not at all

For Harborne, and Birmingham and those overseas

Yes, we prayed for YOU

A week is not long in the grand scheme of things

But we prayed to our GOD and the future He brings –

Yes, we prayed for YOU
