Presents, presents, presence

Close up knitivity sceneAt our Toddler Christmas Service last week we told the story of the first Christmas. I, and a cast of many very small people (!), reminded every one of the amazing story of God’s present to us all at Christmas – His gift of love, His Son, Jesus.

Jesus was sent to show each one of us how much we are loved by God, and to show us how to live knowing that we are loved.

What an amazing present! Christmas is a time when we too give presents to each other.  The shepherds gave Jesus a lamb and the kings brought him gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh, Mary gave him a home…….

I wonder what our response, our gift, to Jesus this Christmas will be?

At the Toddler Service we gave him a few minutes of our time. Time to sit quietly and sing ‘Silent Night’, time to stop and ponder Jesus’ presence, time to reflect on what Christmas is really all about.

Christingle invitationWe are looking forward to welcoming you to our Christingle Sevices on Christmas Eve.

There are two identical services running at 3pm and 4.30pm. They are especially suitable for families with young children so we hope to see you there, dressed up, if you want to, as your favourite nativity character. Will you be a king? A shepherd? An angel? Or a sheep or a donkey?!

We all wish you a very Happy Christmas and we’ll see you back at

Toddlers on January 11th.

With blessings, Kate and the Team.
