Christmas Thank You Notes…

Bake and Pray

Jude writes: “The list of shops was completed by the end of the first week in December. This is a record! Many shops have already received their cake; others will be looking forward to receiving theirs. A big thank you to everyone who has offered to share in this ministry of love and thanks to businesses on the High St.”

Christmas Tour

Ben writes: We had an amazing few days last week as church stepped back 2000 years to the very first Christmas for the Christmas Tour. On Thursday and Friday we welcomed 450 children from 8 local primary schools and on Saturday the we had a busy day opening the tour up to the local community with a dozen packed tours running throughout the day.  We’d like to say a huge thank you to Alex Robertson and all the actors and volunteers who gave so much of their time and energy to making this event so special for all those who came.

Christmas Cards

Christmas Card Cover

Helen writes: Many thanks to all of you who generously took bundles of cards to distribute around the area over the last two weeks. St John’s has delivered cards to 3,000 homes, part of a total of 13,000 covered by Churches Together in Harborne.

Please continue to pray that the message of Christmas will bring hope to local families and businesses, and that people will respond to the invitation to various Christmas services at the local churches.

There is another opportunity to give cards to shoppers, as we sing carols on the High Street on Saturday 19th December.  Click here for more information.
