8th November – an amazing and wonderful day in the life of St John’s

Russ Parker 8th November 2015 683Antony has asked us to write and say a big Thank You to all who were involved in making the day run so smoothly.

He especially wants to mention Ben Baker (and team) for his sensitive approach in providing the children with an age appropriate version of the service which took place with the adults in the Sanctuary.

FRankfurtersThe other person to mention is of course Steve Foster who masterminded ‘Bangers and Mash’ for 250+ with a small but dedicated team; and organised the logistics of the day with many helpers.

REfreshment time in the churchSteve had said that all he was certain about Sunday was that there would be ‘chaos’ but clearly he was not allowing for his own amazing plan for preventing this.

Thank you to all who made 8th November such a memorable day.

What the Bishop said about our gathering together: “There was a real sense of openness to God and common purpose”.
