Prayer for Church members – 29th October 2015

PRAYER LIST Sunday 1st November

Des Cole – update

Des writes: “Following the bowel operation in April, which was a success, I am on a course of weekly chemotherapy going on until mid-January 2016. The chemo is a “clean up” to remove other possible cancer cells. Treatments are on Monday mornings, most appointment times being 8.30.

“Please keep praying for strength, resilience, good sleep, wisdom in dealing with the rest of life. I am also starting a new job in November and would appreciate prayer for the transition back to work, being able to fully get back into the rhythm of work.”

The family of Jean Denton
We give thanks to God for the life of Jean Denton who died in the early hours of Sunday 25th October.

There will be a Service of Thanksgiving for Jean’s life at Christ Church Quinton at 12 noon on Saturday 7th November, followed by refreshments in the church hall to which all are invited. The Thanksgiving will be preceded by a private family service of cremation.

Jean was held with great respect and affection at St John’s and many of you will have grateful memories of the influence Jean had on your life. John and Neil would love to have a permanent record of those memories and you are welcome to bring them with you to the service to be included in the book of tributes.  More information from Ann Anderson
